Paddle Top to Bottom with Friends
Beginners and those still learning to roll are often more comfortable on the lower portion of the park, while more advanced paddlers will often run the entire channel beginning above the dam at Scott Street. We have many surfable features at the whitewater park but running the channel top to bottom, eddy hopping and stern squirting with a group of friends is just as much fun.
Practice the BasICs with a Mentor
The bottom four rapids of the whitewater park are Class II that flow into flatwater. If you don’t have a roll or just want to work on paddle strokes, basic ferries and eddy turns, this is a great place to practice and work on your confidence. Swims are safe and there are dozens of fellow paddlers here to help you collect your gear and get to shore.
Anybody Can Kayak/Canoe!
Young, old, men and women — whitewater paddling is for everyone. We have regular paddlers at the park as young as 12 and as old as 75! Kayaking and canoeing are great lifelong activities to stay active and healthy — and to just have fun!
