The whitewater park consists primarily of Class II whitewater with a few Class III sections. Beginners and those still learning to roll are confident and comfortable on the lower portion of the park which flows out to flat water, while more advanced paddlers will often run the entire channel beginning above the dam at Scott Street.

The course will be open each day 10AM-4PM.

Team River Runner’s mission is to provide al Veterans and their families an opportunity to find health, healing, community purpose and new challenges through adventure and adaptive paddle sports. We work closely with several Team River Runner (TRR) chapters in the Midwest including TRR Green Bay, TRR Milwaukee and chapters in Minnesota to facilitate this great weekend on the water.

We welcome Veterans and their families to join us for a day of learning to paddle at our Wausau Whitewater Park. Instructors and safety volunteers are here to help you learn and advance your skills. If this is your first time in a kayak we will teach you the basics, or if you have whitewater experience we will help you advance to paddle your first Class III rapid.

Not a Veteran? That’s OK! We need plenty of volunteers during the TRR weekend to help with both on-water and off-water activities.
